Boat Show Joins Forces with The
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Sailors for the Sea

Newport Exhibition
Group, owners and producers of the Newport International Boat Show, announced today
that The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Leukemia Cup Regatta is its official
Charitable Partner and Sailors for the Sea is its Environmental Partner for the
46th Annual Newport International Boat Show. These non-profit organizations
will receive complimentary exhibit space at the event and the opportunity for their
staff to educate and share information regarding their important missions.

organizations have linked the love of boating to their very vital missions,”

for cancer and ocean conservation are two causes that are very close to the

The
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Leukemia Cup Regatta is a thrilling series of
sailing events that combines the joy of recreational boating with fund-raising
dedicated to helping LLS find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood
cancer patients. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest
voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission: Cure
leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of
life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research
around the world, provides free information and support services, and is the
voice for all blood cancer patients seeking access to quality, affordable,
coordinated care.

Sailors
for the Sea is the leading conservation organization that engages, educates,
inspires and activates the sailing and boating community towards healing the
ocean. The sailing and boating community in the United States is 12 million strong.
The goal of the organization is to rally this community – unite them around
their passion for the sea – and power one of the most significant ocean
conservation movements of our time. Sailors for the Sea’s high-impact, results-oriented

Newport International Boat Show will take place September 15th through the18th, 2016 on the Newport Waterfront along America’s Cup
