NEWPORT INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW ANNOUNCES ANNUAL PRESS CONFERENCE ITINERARY

Panel Discussion to Give Expert Insight into the State of the Boating Industry

Newport Exhibition Group, owners and producers of the Newport International Boat Show, announced today its plans for the 2015 State of the Industry Press Conference. This year, the event will take place on Friday, September 18^th at 8:15 a.m. in the Sunset Lounge at the end of Commercial Wharf. The event will feature a lively question and answer session among a panel of industry experts. Open to members of the press, invited guests and exhibitors, all will be welcomed to the city by The Honorable Jeanne-Marie Napolitano, mayor of Newport.

Following The Mayor, other dignitaries will share a brief welcome and this year’s Charitable Partner, Clean Ocean Access will make a short presentation on the importance of local and national environmental protection. Afterwards, five marine industry executives will address hard-hitting questions about industry challenges, current trends and the future. The press conference will conclude with the announcement of the Newport For New Products and Edson Star Award winners.

Expected to draw tens of thousands to historic Newport, the Newport International Boat Show will take place Thursday, September 17^th through Sunday, September 20^th, 2015 on the Newport Waterfront along America’s Cup Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island. One of the largest in-water boat shows in the country, the event will host nearly 750 exhibitors from around the world with an exceptional assortment of boats of every type and style from 15 to 110 feet, and a wide variety of accessories, equipment, electronics, gear and services for boaters.

Admission Prices:

•       Thursday, September 17th, VIP Day: Tickets are $35*. If tickets are purchased by Wednesday, September 16^th - each order includes a reserved parking space at Easton’s Beach ($15 value, one parking space per transaction). Shuttle bus service from Easton’s Beach to the show entrance is included with the parking space.

•       Friday, Saturday or Sunday, September 18^th, 19^th or 20^th: Tickets are $15* through Thursday, September 17^th and $19 if purchased on September 18^th through the 20^th.

•       Two-day discounted ticket packages are also available.

•       Children under 12 are admitted free all days when accompanied by an adult.

•       Friday, September 18^th only, visitors with a valid military or Newport County Resident photo ID pay $12 admission at the ticket booth (This discount cannot be combined with any other discount offer).
