Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor Appoints New Harbormaster
WESTREC Marinas’ Vice
President Jim Frye announced today that Lisa Duncan will take over the helm as
Harbormaster at the Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor in St. Augustine Florida.
A native of St. Augustine, Duncan worked first in the marina
industry at Turnberry Isle Marina in Miami and was later—for a number of
years—the Dockmaster at the prestigious Pier 66 Marina in Ft. Lauderdale.
Before joining the recreational boating industry Lisa served for four (4) years
with the U.S. Coast Guard in South Florida. An entrepreneur and a professional
manager, Lisa first worked at Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor (CCYH) for a few years
beginning in 2008 and most recently returned as Office Manager. Longtime CCYH
Harbormaster, Tom Huston, recently decided to relocate closer to family and
Lisa has been promoted to fill that role.
“Lisa’s experience and personality are well suited to take the
helm here at CCYH,” says Frye. “The entire professional staff at CCYH is doing
a terrific job serving their customers and supporting each other through some
challenging times,” he added.
Westrec Marina Management has been working with the staff at CCYH
assisting in a management transition. “We’re helping this first-class marina be
better poised to serve their customer base and bringing some new systems to
attract more activity to the marina. Lisa is well equipped to lead this
change,” says Frye.
“We’re delighted to promote someone from within the CCYH family
and especially pleased that Lisa will be taking the lead,” says Joe Taylor,
Chairman of the Camachee Island Company, owner of the CCYH. “With Westrec’s
assistance and Lisa’s leadership I’m confident that the marina is in good hands
and look forward to continuing our tradition of successful service to the
boating public,” Peter Sabo, CIC President, adds.
Duncan assumes the role of Harbormaster immediately and will be
responsible for managing the day-to- day activities of the marina operation.
“We
have a great crew here at Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor. I
am looking forward to our future and working together, along with Westrec, to
achieve our goals and continued success,” says Duncan.
